Trevor Shackles: It Can Get Worse Things can get even worse for the Senators if Mark Stone goes to arbitration and Cody Ceci signs long-term

Sure, than you can have Nylander back when he files for arbitration.

So, is this the bright side, the fact that not all of these other terrible things have happened (yet)?

I must say, that's very gracious of you to remind me. Been super busy with work, and the distraction's welcome from the Sens circus. To be truthful, I'm still not sure the Mark Stone chapter is going to end well either, maybe an offer sheet would have been a better outcome for a rebuild?

I may get one of my colleagues to put something together. Unless anyone else here has an avatar they'd like you to sport for the upcoming season? (regular season + playoffs was the arrangement)

Managing down to hit a bottom is actually an art form that requires a good deal of skill. Not sure Dorion knows exactly what he is doing. But, we will understand it far better once we know the details of a Karlsson trade.

We understand none of this is being done for hockey reasons. So, everything needs to considered from a financial perspective and what is the end goal. I believe this is window dressing in the form of creating a clean balance sheet for new owners.

If we get a new local ownership group it will turn out to be okay.

It's a risk for Stone to go with a one year deal and then hit FA...

He could get a micro fracture!

Some advice as I hate to see a team kicked while they are on the ground bleeding. Dump Dorion now and hire Mark Hunter. You'll never regret it.

Funny how so many are concerned about biological truths and not environmental ones.

The thing that is incredibly shocking for me is the sens have a perfect chance at getting what could very possibly be the first over all pick back from the avalanche and I don’t know if pride is getting in the way or what but you could get a potential generational player who could play ten years or more by trading Karlsson to the avs for the first Barrie and maybe a Goalie swap and they won’t do it. They wanna ask far more than they should when they could have a good young defensmen back and a great player in the next draft and a goalie who yes when healthy is amazing. How you guys are screwing that one up is beyond me. Even if you lose the trade in the beginning you win down the road which is what the sens should be thinking about. They aren’t a win now team and won’t be for a long time after this.

Seems like he's buying time. If things change come January, maybe if he re-signs? If not, i assume tdl selloff.

I am anxiously waiting for what you have brewing.
